From Attar to Arowa
From Interest to Experience

As Muslims and servants of Allah, having an appreciation for attar was only natural for us. In the beginning, we chose attars based on recommendations from people we knew, popular names, and fragrances that were widely talked about. Over time, we noticed something interesting. The same attar that smelled exceptional on one person did not create the same impression on someone else. That realization changed the way we looked at fragrance. We began to understand that the value of an attar is not defined by its scent alone. What truly matters is how well it complements a person's character, taste, and personality.

This sparked a deeper curiosity. We started learning about pure attars, their ingredients, how they are crafted, and the factors that influence their quality. We explored different fragrance families, their unique characteristics, and the experiences of people who wore them.

But our learning did not stop with reading and research. For years, we have personally used a wide range of attars. We experienced the same fragrance in different seasons, environments, and occasions. We paid attention to how a scent evolved over time, how long it lasted, and the impressions it left on those around us. Through this journey, one thing became clear. Not every attar is made for everyone. Just as people have different preferences, they are also suited to different fragrances.

As time passed, a question naturally came to mind. What if the knowledge we gained, the lessons we learned, and the experiences we gathered from our journey with attars could help others make better choices? That question became the beginning of Arowa.

We are trying to bring forward fragrances that we genuinely appreciated through our own use, observation, and experience. We do not claim to know everything, nor do we claim to have the final word on every attar. Our goal is simply to share fragrances that we believe are well crafted, distinctive, and worth experiencing.
